At Lina´s place

 

After a 2 hours long trip, we finally arrived Wittstock. We decided to do a small walk through the town and had a wonderful supper together, with traditional food from south Germany (Maultaschen). At the next day we travelled to Neuruppin, to catch a train to Berlin. Because we had some time before, we visited the Neuruppiner lake.

            When we went to the train station Marta found a “bookcrossing book” (which are free books which people leave in public places for other people).

            In Berlin we took the bus 100, which is driving around the important sightseeing places. We left next to the Holocaust memorial (a really impressive place), went to the Brandenburger Tor (Martas favourite place) and took a quick of the Reichstag. To try something typical for Berlin we ate Currywurst together (which was really tasty). On our way to the Berliner Dom we bought a lot of nice postcards, saw the demonstration to legalize Marijuana and meet our new “guide” Thomas, a friend of Lina. The big field in front of the Cathedral encouraged us to have a little break.

            Our “guide” took us to a place where we could see a part of the old Berlin wall. Because of our project it was really important to see that. Especially interesting was that a lot of parts of the wall are being sold as a souvenir.

            The great end of the day was to visit the Berlin Rainbow. We sang Rainbow songs and had a short prayer. Thomas said “good bye” to us and we went back home (somehow).

            Next day we slept as long as we could. The boys took a short sightseeing through the interesting archeologically park of Freyenstein.  The girls found a geogatching treasure map at the internet and so we four started a treasure hunt. It was successful, we found 3 of them!

            We also went to a museum about the 30 year war and learned a lot about it. As a closing for the family weekend we had a little teatime.

 

Both families were very very friendly and we enjoyed the weekend.

 

But it was also nice to come back to our Rainbow family.

 

 

Bei Lina zu Hause

Nach einer 2 Stunden langen Fahrt, erreichten wir schließlich Wittstock. Wir entschieden uns für einen kleinen Spaziergang durch die Stadt und hatten danach ein wunderbares Abendbrot, mit traditionalen Essen aus dem Süden Deutschlands (Maultaschen).

            Am nächsten Tag reisten wir nach Neuruppin, um von dort aus mit dem Zug nach Berlin zu fahren. Da wir noch etwas Zeit hatten bevor der Zug abfuhr, besichtigten wir den Neuruppiner See.

            Als wir den Bahnhof erreichten, fand Marta ein Bookcrossing Buch (das sind Bücher, welche von anderen Leuten an öffentlichen Plätzen gelassen werden, damit andere Leute sie lesen können).

            In Berlin angekommen nahmen wir den Bus 100, welcher zu allen wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten fährt. Diesen verließen wir am Holocaust Denkmal (ein wirklich beeindruckender Platz), fuhren zum Brandenburger Tor (Martas lieblings Ort) und sahen uns kurz den Reichstag an. Da wir Hunger auf etwas typisch Berlinerisches hatten, aßen wir Currywurst (welche wirklich lecker war). Auf unseren Weg zum Berliner Dom, kauften wir eine Menge Postkarten, sahen eine Demonstration für die Legalisierung von Hanf und trafen unseren neuen „Fremdenführer“ Thomas, welcher ein Freund von Lina ist. Die große Wiese vor der Kathedrale lud uns ein, eine kleine Pause zu machen.

            Unser „Führer“ brachte uns zu einem Platz, wo wir einen Teil der Berliner Mauer bestaunen konnten. Auf Grund unseres Projektes war dies sehr wichtig für uns. Besonders interessant fanden wir, dass Teile der Mauer als Souvenir verkauft wurden.

            Das große Ende unseres Tages war der Besuch des Regenbogens in Berlin. Dort sangen wir Rainbow Lieder und beten kurz.

            Wir verabschiedeten uns von Thomas und machten uns auf den Heimweg. Am nächsten Tag schliefen wir so lange wie wir konnten. Die Jungs unternahmen eine kleine Tour zum archäologischen Park in Freyenstein. Die Mädchen fanden im Internet eine Geocatching Karte und so begann für uns vier die Jagt. Wir waren wirklich erfolgreich und fanden 3 Verstecke!

            Zudem besichtigten wir ein Museum über den 30 jährigen Krieg und lernten eine Menge darüber.

            Zum Schluss dieses Wochenendes aßen wir leckeren Kuchen.

 

Beide Familien waren sehr freundlich and wir haben das Wochenende sehr genossen.

 

Dennoch freuten wir uns sehr, als wir unsere Rainbow family wiedersahen.

 

 

With Siggi and Dominik

 

We spent the weekends at two families in Lübeck. The first night we were to Siggi`s Family, at first we had a concert of ''Barock Music'', than we went to Siggi's house and had a wonderful evening with her family. The next day we ate breakfast and went to another family in Lübeck, at Domenic family. He was 19  so it was easier to get in touch. In afternon we went out with Domenic and her sister, Michal, they showed us the city and we ate nice ice-creams and went back at home for dinner. Our evening started at 9 o clock, we, Domenic and his friends went out to some special places  than we came back at 3 o clock p.m. at home, we had so much fun and we could never forget that night :D:D. So finally we could sleep how we want, we ate a tipical german breakfast, but not the lunch, because it was so delicious and we couldn't stop eating it, the lunch was preaperd so good from Domenic's older sister and we thanks her too muchhhhhh :) :). After unforgetable weekend we had to came back to our Ansverus Haus. We met our Rainbow Family that we have missed them too much during the weekend. So we thanks again both families, and send many greetings to them for their respect and the good hospitality that showed for us. Salih and Timon ;) ;)

 

 

 

 

Bei den Martins, ne

Mein  Wochenende startete bei Martins. Gemeinsam mit Abe wurde wurde ich herzlich aufgenommen und wir aßen gemeinsam Abendessen. Danach machten Hannah und ich uns einen schönen, langen Abend und trafen Ansgar, ihren Bruder und Safea, seine Freundin. Am nächsten Morgen stand ich allerdings schon früh auf um meine Reise nach Hamburg anzutreten, wo mich schon einige der anderen Teilnehmer erwarteten. Als wir in Lübeck  am Bahnhof standen, um mein Ticket zukaufen, sprach uns praktischerweise eine Frau an und fragte ob wir noch ein Ticket benötigten. Sie war mit ihrer Tochter und deren Freund auf den Weg nach Hamburg. Sie hatten ein Viererticket gekauft, doch der eigentliche Begleiter war kurzfristig abgesprungen und nun hatten sie einen Platz übrig. Also setzte ich mich auch im Zug zu ihnen und so kamen wir ins Gespräch. Sie erzählten warum sie nach Hamburg wollten und ich erzählte das ich Teilnehmer des Regenbogenprojektes bin, als ich fragte sie ob sie davon gehört hatten, erzählten sie mir dass sie davon gelesen hatten und man schon darüber sprach. Sie waren sehr interessiert und ich erzählte ihnen über das Projekt. In Hamburg traf ich dann einige der anderen und wir unternahmen gemeinsam einige Dinge.

 

 

With the Martins

My Weekend started at Martins house. Abe and me were very friendly welcomed and we at supper all together. After that Hannah and me spent a nice, long evening with her brother and his girlfriend. Saturdaymorning, I stood up early for drive by train to Hamburg, where some other rainbow-participants expected me. While we stood at the train station to buy a ticket, a woman asked me, if I was in need to buy a ticket. She, her daughter and her boyfriend wanted to drive to Hamburg and bought a ticket for four persons, but the fourth person didn't come. As we sat in the train, we talked a bit and I told them I participate at the rainbowproject. They told me, they already read about it and were interested. So I explained a little bit more about the project and they asked me some questions. Arrived in Hamburg, I met the other participants and joined their journey.
